X PRIZE Foundation

By creating the first private race to space, the X PRIZE Foundation gave birth to a new industry with extraordinary technological, social and investment opportunities.  As a result, the X PRIZE is now widely recognized as the premier institute to bring about radical breakthroughs for the benefit of humanity.. Rather than rewarding past achievements or directly funding research, the X PRIZE Foundation spurs innovation by tapping into our competitive and entrepreneurial spirits.

 

We are actively pursuing opportunities for new X PRIZES in key areas in need of radical change, including space, energy, genomics, and education.  In addition, we seek to inspire and educate today?s youth in these areas through multiple outreach programs.

 

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Create manage X PRIZE Foundation?s special events in new and existing markets. Lead efforts to leverage the success of current X PRIZE Foundation events and replicate across the country. Responsibilities include:

? Monitor trends in corporate philanthropy and special events fundraising and set event strategies that capitalize on external opportunities.

? Use events as marketing venue to position the X PRIZE brand as ideal corporate partner.

? Set objectives for all event teams.

? Work with all PRIZE Teams to create exciting and successful launch, interim and award events for each PRIZE.

? Manage the production of event program materials including invitations, journals, audiovisual presentations and scripts to reflect organizational messaging.

? Develop and manage event budgets; reconcile financial reports.

? Compile and analyze all data relating to event goals and outcomes.

? Hire and supervise event staff and engage event specialists/consultants as appropriate to complement event staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

?MUST have a MINIMUM of 7 years experience MANAGING corporate/non-profit events

? Advanced financial and analytical skills

? Demonstrated ability to manage staff and work with professional consultants

? Experience writing and managing budgets

? Bachelors Degree Preferred

? Commitment to changing the world
