District Manager
POSITION: District Manager
SUPERVISOR: Asst. VP of Child Development Services
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Assistant Vice President, Child Development Services, the District Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all Head Start performance standards and requirements of all regulatory agencies at assigned Head Start and child development centers. Responsibilities include overseeing the implementation of educational activities; coordinating support services to meet program and family objectives; implementing a bilingual curriculum model; supervising and evaluating Head Teachers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: B.A. or B.S. Degree in the area of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child/Human Development; or B.A./B.S. degree in related field with a minimum of 24 units in ECE/CD, plus 9 units in child care administration; or Bachelor?s Degree level of conceptual thinking obtained by a degree or equivalent life experience.. Must have or obtain the State of California Child Development Program Director Permit. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
EXPERIENCE: Three years experience directly working with preschool children. Two years experience working in a center director (supervisory) capacity.
OTHER: Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills. Ability to pass physical examination and a tuberculin skin test. Fingerprint clearance required. Ability to get to all centers, meetings, and training. Verification of insurance required for personal car usage.
