Job Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
Troubleshooting complex electronic assemblies and circuit boards to the component level with only occasional guidance from other technical personnel
 Ability to understand complex electrical schematics and other documents describing the design and operation of the assemblies to be repaired.
Able to assemble, disassemble, and repair assembled units and circuit boards to company standards
Able to perform tests on a variety of computer products using written and electronic documentation with a minimum of supervision.
Exceptional soldering ability and mechanical dexterity.
Must be familiar with MSDOS, Windows, and X86 based designs.
Must accurately track work activities according the department and DRS practices.
Report issues with new and existing products to Engineering and management and help find solutions.
Must be able to train test operators or other associates on the resolution of technical issues.
Other test or equipment repair duties as required

Education and Experience

AS degree in Electronics or equivalent training and experience are required. Candidate should have experience in electronics testing and troubleshooting, as well as familiarity with PC hardware and operating systems. Experience with general purpose test equipment such as DMMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes is required.  Excellent soldering ability and good skill with the usage of hand tools is required. This candidate must be able to work independently using written procedures and instructions.
