Executive Director - Save Middle East Action, Inc

The Save Middle East Action Committee (SMEAC) is seeking an Executive Director to provide leadership support, to strengthen organizational infrastructure, and to successfully manage and help this young growing community group.

Formed in 2001 by residents?as a community-organizing, advocacy, and planning, vehicle for stakeholders and residents of the Middle East Baltimore neighborhoods that will be displaced by the establishment of a biotech park, SMEAC's long-term goal is to ensure that all residents in Middle East are treated fairly in the redevelopment process?and that current East Baltimore residents benefit from the process and the revitalization of the Middle East Baltimore community.

Minimum requirements include a B.A. or equivalent; three years experience in organizational or department management and administration; three years experience in nonprofit fundraising; two years experience working with or participating on a volunteer board directors; one year supervisory experience; and two years of experience working with grassroots organizations.
