Food Solicitor

Position is responsible for development, coordination and planning of food donor program. Duties include calling food companies, distributors and other food related industries to increase and retain overall food and food donations to The Houston Food Bank. Other duties include receipt and distribution of commodities, marketing and outreach.

 

Minimum requirements for this position include 5-7 years of sales/marketing experience. Four year degree in business related field is preferred. Must have food industry and/or food banking experience, donor relations contacts and experience, fiscal management, budgeting and purchasing experience. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Applications is a must, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. Candidate must be able to communicate verbal and written, complex information clearly and possess strong customer service skills and be detail oriented. Candidate must be able to work 7:30am to 12:30pm on rotating Saturdays.
