FUNCTION:
Responsible for managing corporate partnerships, including major corporate cause-related marketing projects and corporate employee volunteer projects. Manage New Leaders Council. Manage foundation/corporate giving, as well as develop and manage foundation/corporate relationships. Also responsible for managing staff campaign, and cultivation of individual and planned giving donors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s degree with at least five years professional experience in fundraising, communications and/or marketing. Must have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, presentation skills and strong computer skills. Must be able to work well independently, or with others on team projects. Experience working with volunteers, and coordinating events is preferred. Must be organized, detail-oriented and responsive to work deadlines. Must present as competent and professional at all times, whether interfacing with corporate executives or Volunteers of America staff.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:
1.Manage corporate relations with the objective of enriching current, and developing new relationships. Provide opportunities for corporations to support Volunteers of America though grants, sponsorships, event support, service days and in-kind donations.
2.Manage foundation giving and annual staff campaign
3.Assist with cultivation of individual and planned giving donors
4.Perform other tasks as assigned
RESULTS:
1.Mutually beneficial relationships between Volunteers of America and corporations will be built. Corporate projects will be well-managed and will raise awareness of Volunteers of America in the community and provide additional revenue and/or goods and services for the organization.
2.New Leaders Council will be well-managed, building appreciation for the organization and its mission and providing additional revenue and goods/services for the organization.
3.Foundation/corporate campaign will be well-managed, proposals will be of the highest quality and submitted according to required timelines. Annual goals will be met or exceeded. Staff Campaign will be well run and meet or exceed annual revenue goals
4.Potential major donors will be called according to yearly goals, will feel appreciated and more likely to move up the donor pyramid. Annual goals will be met or exceeded.
