Marketing/Communications Coordinator

Description:
AccountAbility Minnesota is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing tax and accounting assistance to individuals and small businesses with limited means by leveraging volunteer resources. Be part of a dynamic team of staff and volunteers in expanding the services of AAM throughout the state. This position will work closely with the Executive Director and program staff and is responsible for communications and marketing development, coordination, and evaluating the effectiveness year round.

Key Responsibilities:

? Work with the Executive Director on a comprehensive communications & marketing plan including methods to evaluate effectiveness.
? Coordinate marketing of the tax programs with Program staff and Management
? Manage the AAM website
? Work with staff to ensure effective communication with volunteers, donors and partners through electronic and print newsletters and communication methods.
? Supervise community outreach staff to target qualifying customers for the tax programs.
? Build relationships with community partners to effectively communicate AAM?s mission and services.
? Promote and increase visibility of AAM by coordinating presentations to the public, private and nonprofit sector.
? Support the promotional campaign for free tax assistance and tax credits.
? Manage marketing and communication database
? Respond to inquiries from customers, elected officials, program inquiries, community partners and the general public for printed materials regarding tax assistance.
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Arts or Science degree. Skills required include, excellent verbal and written communication skills, project planning and management, and computer skills. Experience with marketing and communication required including working with media, print and electronic communications, and marketing materials development. Must work independently and be extremely organized. Bi-lingual candidates preferred.
