Marketing Manager, Circulation and E-Commerce ? Foreign Affairs

 

Foreign Affairs, America?s most influential magazine on global issues, is looking for an entrepreneurial marketing manager who will lead our web-based marketing strategy and execute all online marketing campaigns. In addition to driving increased subscriber acquisition on the web, the candidate will contribute to traditional circulation management efforts including newsstand, insert cards, agent promotions, and customer service management.

 

The candidate must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects working with a team of circulation managers, web producers, designers and copywriters. The ideal candidate has demonstrated ability to use website metrics to generate maximum response to range of online campaigns: e-mail, pay-per-click, paid placement, traditional banner advertising, and more.

 

The major responsibilities of this position will include (but are not limited to):

?  Significantly growing FA?s online business by developing and executing an ambitious online marketing strategy. 

?  Managing all aspects of the online fulfillment database: transactional activity, customer service, and integration with print magazine fulfillment operations.

?  Working closely with the Associate Publisher on all fulfillment and circulation operations including print orders, audits, development of promotional initiatives, and development of consistent branding across all marketing efforts.

 

Preferred Skills and Abilities:

? BA degree in related field, with strong academic credentials

? 3 or more years experience with online marketing, preferably with a publication

? Passion for the web and a "test and improve" approach to direct marketing.

? Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, and proven project management experience

? Proficiency with campaign management tools; experience with Omniture SiteCatalyst a plus.

? Results-oriented self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team

? High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with database technology

? Interest in international relations
