Partners for Youth with Disabilities, Inc. (www.pyd.org) an award winning mentoring program for youth & young adults with disabilities in Massachusetts is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time position in the agency.



Mentoring Program Specialist (25 hours week):  seeking experienced (5 plus years) human services professional to work in our mentoring division to provide one-to-one mentoring relationships for youth and young adults with disabilities. The Mentoring Program Specialist is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, training, and matching youth and mentors with similar disabilities in role model relationships. In addition, the Mentoring Program Specialist will assist with our online mentoring community (Partners Online- www.pyd.org/partnersonline/ ) by enrolling new members, and moderating Forums and Chats.  Experience in the disability community, as well as excellent organization, communication and writing skills are necessary. Must be able to complete individual assessments of mentors and mentees, be proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with using databases for inputting client data. BA/BS or combination of education and experience in health or human services, special education, social work, vocational rehabilitation, or related field.  Ability to travel throughout Metropolitan Boston Area and work occasional evenings and weekends. Salary Level: $17,500-$20,000 plus Fringe Benefits.
