Supervisor: Prevention Coordinator

Location: Meriden, CT

 

The Sexual Assault Program has an opening for a Prevention Advocate.  This is a full-time, 35-hour/week position.  This position is hourly, and non-union.

 

The position requirements include: Associate?s degree in human service, education or related field, Bachelor?s degree preferred. Candidate must be Bilingual and Bi-Cultural in Spanish. Must have 1 year experience presenting educational programs. Must have access to transportation.  Must obtain and retain certification as a Sexual Assault Counselor. Candidates who will add to the diversity of our staff are encouraged to apply.

 

This position is responsible for presenting prevention programs to schools, agencies and community groups and outreach/program marketing. The overall purpose of the prevention program is to work towards the elimination of sexual violence through programs that disrupt the cycle of violence in our communities.  Responsibilities also include: statistics, record-keeping and program evaluation.  The position requires frequent local travel to programs sites and other offices.
