Program Administrator, Executive Offices

The Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), a provider of technical information, education, and marketing services to the manufacturing community worldwide, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Manager to work in the Executive Offices.

 

This professional position will be responsible for developing and implementing Executive Office projects and events, as assigned.  The individual will develop the Society?s honor awards and fellows programs and will serve as the liaison forthe International Awards and Recognition Committee. The Administrator will participate in activities involving the Society?s governance and other high-level groups, develop programs and support Executive Office senior staff, and develop and maintain budgets for select programs, as well as other duties as assigned.Demonstrated ability to write executive level communication pieces is required, along with experience working with committees.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor?s degree in business administration or related field.Three to five years of related work experience; association work experience preferred.Excellent verbal communication skillsExcellent business writing skills, including experience writing executive level communications, informational and promotional copyDiplomacy and ability to work effectively with high-level and diverse groups, maintaining strict confidentiality as needed.Proficient with MS OfficeEffective interpersonal skillsEffective event and meeting planning skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environmentEffective project management skills.
