Program Director

To plan, manage and administer a comprehensive quality service delivery for ReCapturing the Vision, International. The Director is responsible for ensuring all policies and procedures, compliance and quality assurances are met across all programs, by monitoring contractual and funding requirements, as outlined in grants and other contracts.  The Director oversees all agency program services at all project sites and provides resource management consultation, as necessary; The Program Director  maintains a working knowledge of human resource procedures and assists with training and staff development and other Human Resource areas, which include: keeping records pertaining to attendance, benefits and disciplinary actions on all staff members, updating policy and procedure manual, as required by board of directors,  overseeing the recruitment  and all screening process for new hires, and maintaining quality assurance measures.



Duties and Responsibilities:

 

?  Oversees all staff and supervisors.

?  Facilitates employee problem-solving procedures.

?  Assist supervisors in disciplinary actions when needed.

?  Communicates with President through interoffice memo?s concerning discipline issues and how they were handled.

?  Keeps a record of all disciplinary actions on all employees.

?  Coordinates recruitment, conducts specialized recruiting through various agencies.

?  Oversees the management of bookkeeping and makes sure payroll information is turned in to the accountant in a timely manner.

?  Advises and guides staff and supervisors in resolving issues and conflict resolution.

?  Directs establishment and maintenance of employee records.

?  Provides consultation and advises department managers and supervisors in human resource management.

?  Reports to President

?  Reports to board on the status of hiring decisions by the hiring committee, as needed.

?  Assists in hiring and training of supervisors and other staff.

?  Implement policies and procedures in recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, employee benefits and training.

?  Plans and directs implementation and operation of human resource department and systems.

?  Reports to the President/CEO and Board of Directors concerning all matters relating to staff and compliance issues, as needed.

?  Negotiates employee grievances and formulates report recommendations. Reviews information and documentation and advises management and supervisors on problem-solving and discipline issues. 

?  Directs and oversees employee training and career development activities.

?  Represents ReCapturing the Vision in human resource matters and hearings.

?  Assists in the development of new funding opportunities and partnerships.

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

 

?  Master?s Degree or higher

?  Working knowledge of policy and procedure as pertaining to the Employee Handbook.

?  Human Resource administration.

?  Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

?  Computer literate.

?  Leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.

?  Management practices and employee supervision.

?  Employee problem-solving & conflict resolution. 

?  Employee grievance procedures.

?  Ability to work with a diverse population, including high risk youth.



 

Experience:

 

?  Demonstrating working knowledge in human resource administration.

?  Managing staff development and implementing policies and procedures.

?  Developing and conducting group training sessions.

?  Providing human resource consultation to supervisors and mangers in management and organizational design.
