Project Coordinator

Salary Range: $26,000-$35,000
Non-Violence Project USA, Inc. is a key constituent in a Global Community Foundation committed to the mission of merging community-based organizations and youth advocates with international and domestic policing agencies, local municipalities, federal government agencies and private sector funders to prevent youth violence. By means of our international associates located on the contents of Africa, Europe, and South America, it?s our function to inspire and unite young people into positive action.
The Project Coordinator (PC) provides direct individual and group educational trainings, with intervention/prevention program strategies in school and after school. Accordingly, the PC works towards establishing supportive and trusting relationships with targeted teens through an advocacy role on the their behalf. This relationship provides a positive atmosphere to foster the development and growth of youth, who reside in Miami-Dade County and deter youth-violence. The PC helps youth decrease unhealthy behaviors, increase academic achievement, and promote personal development using Lifeskill based curriculum and teaching models. Furthermore, the PC is the key liaison between the community, external site management, and central headquarters.
Primary Objectives:
Instruct life-skill based curriculum in a classroom, group, or/and one-on-one setting.
Coordinate student-led community volunteer events.
Prepare and complete all mandated program documentation.
Act as a lead site facilitator at selected locations.
Ensure corporative site relations with location administration/management and clients.
Ensure the completion of all project directives per site assigned.
Remain punctual and responsive to all directives and deadlines.
Administer program evaluative tools and present results to Project management and prospective stakeholders.
Assist in the preparation of all company program & financial audits.
Prepare regular programmatic reports to management to be submitted to funding agencies.
SKILLS
Time-management and organizational skills
Experience working with project administration
Strong communication skills, both written and oral. 2nd language a plus
Volunteer recruitment, management and leadership development skills
Public speaking skills
Problem solving and analytical skills
Excel Spreadsheet and Word processing proficiency a must!
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree and Minimum1 year experience or 5 years experience in related field.
Must pass all background & reference checks
