YOUTH SERVICES DEPARTMENT

Youth Services Quality Assurance Manager

Boston, MA

Since 1977, CRJ?s youth programs have served at-risk and delinquent youth from the Metro Boston area with counseling, treatment and education in both residential and non-residential settings. This position provides professional services to the Standards and Quality Assurance Department (S&QA) and the Youth Services (YS) Department.

Responsibilities include the following:

Assist the S&QA Director in the implementation of CRJ?s internal quality assurance program by overseeing quality assurance (QA) for all five YS programs. Participate in the Transitions Project, receive Transitions training and increase the integration of the Transitions Framework into the YS Department programs.  Assist with the planning and implementation of the Transitions Project Youth Summit. 

Review Monthly Management Reports (MMR) for YS programs on a monthly basis, analyze data and provide feedback to S&QA Director, COO, YS Department Director and YS programs.

Develop key measures for monitoring the integration of the Transitions Framework into the YS Department.

Coach program staff on ways to use Transitions Framework in their programs.

Work with YS Program Directors in developing/maintaining performance measures of each YS program.

Conduct on-line research to gather supporting materials for quality assurance, best practices and youth services issues.

Develop client surveys for YS clients with input from YS department Clinician and Research Consultant.

 

Responsible for learning about the American Correctional Association (ACA) standards and accreditation process and introducing it to the YS programs for future participation.

Maintain Commonwealth regulations (including OCCS and DYS) and compliance issues/documents for all CRJ Youth Services program contracts.

 

Develop and maintain a QA library of YS program policy and procedure manuals, program handbooks and program brochures. Conduct OCCS compliance checks.

Standardize all YS forms between and for all YS programs. Assist in the response to proposals for new Youth Services funding opportunities.

 

 

Requirements:

Bachelor?s Degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Criminology, Human Services or any similar area.  Additional experience working in youth services programs or quality assurance programs preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong analytical skills and writing ability are also necessary.

Needs to be a motivated and independent thinker and have the ability to interact with a variety of people from all professions.

 A car is necessary for monthly site visits to one YS program outside of the public transportation area.
