Receptionist - Bilingual / Spanish American Red Cross

Position Summary:

 

This person is responsible for maintaining switchboard coverage, processing incoming mail and additional clerical assignments as needed.

 

Position Responsibilities:

 Answers and directs all incoming telephone calls and walk in visitors. Trains relief staff and ensures all information is current and correct. Opens and sorts all incoming mail in according to established audit procedures. Assembles, packages/stuffs mailings as assigned. Inputs information as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

 High school diploma or equivalent. Bilingual English/Spanish with excellent verbal skills and clear enunciation in both languages. Knowledge and experience as a switchboard  operator. Requires excellent customer service manner. Must like working with numbers and have a ten-key skill. Must have an organizational skills. Must work well under pressure and high volume of calls during emergency or disaster response. Must be able to follow instructions and have a cooperative attitude.

 Ability to have flexibility in working hours and days during disaster response.
