Rehabilitation Counselor
THE POSITION: Rehabilitation Counselors are responsible for managing caseloads and making independent case decisions related to the rehabilitation process and encumbering funds for case services and supervises lower level staff.
TO QUALIFY:
Rehabilitation Counselor I - The minimum qualifications for this position require a Master?s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling or health, social or other related behavioral science and within 90 days of hire, enrollment in an approved educational plan that will result in eligibility to sit for the Rehabilitation Counselor Certification exam within thirty-six months from the date of enrollment.
Rehabilitation Counselor II - The minimum qualifications for this position require a Master?s degree in rehabilitation counseling or health, social or other related behavioral science.
Special notes and requirements: Proof of eligibility to sit for the Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) examination from the Commission of Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) is required at the time of application. Rehabilitation Counselor III - The minimum qualifications for this position require a Master?s degree in rehabilitation counseling or health, social or other related behavioral science, and one year of journey level experience as a Rehabilitation Counselor which must have included making eligibility, ineligibility and employment outcome determinations by applying federal, state and agency regulations, policies and procedures for a public vocational rehabilitation program; negotiating and resolving conflicts; and performing community outreach public relations activities for an assigned program; OR one year experience as a Rehabilitation Counselor II in Nevada State service.

THE EXAMINATION: The examination will consist of an application evaluation. It is essential that applications include extensively detailed information with time frames regarding education and experience. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by the hiring agency for interview.
