SPANISH-SPEAKING RESIDENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

Full-time Position

Reports to: Director of Resident Services

Not a Sales Position

 

 

Rainbow Housing Assistance Corporation is a nonprofit dedicated to the stabilization of low-income families through the facilitation of Human Social Services. Rainbow Housing is looking for a full-time RSC to coordinate on-site social service programs for a diverse resident population.

 

Job Duties (Overall responsibilities):

 Work with Director of Resident Services and property management staff to implement a needs-assessment program for residents; to identify social services and programs that best fit resident needs and implement onsite delivery of services provided by service entities. Coordinate and maintain onsite social service programs, providers and referrals to community services for all residents. Supports and assists onsite property management staff, with resident meetings and tenant lease guidelines. Develop a cooperative network of social service agencies and assist in developing and maintaining a referral system for residents. Engage and keep residents informed through community and resident meetings, flyers, referral system, bulletin board, etc. of appropriate community organization information, continuing education, support groups, and resident and community activities. Coordinate, as needed, one on one sessions with participating tenants to inform tenants of present and future social service programs and encourage their participation in onsite support service programs. Work with onsite staff to build community relations through on-site social, recreational, holiday and culturally sensitive activities for residents. Maintain and promote open communication with all onsite and community direct social service providers, staff and case managers to ensure consistency and teamwork. Maintain needed monthly and yearly tracking and/or reporting systems Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with community social service providers and community associations. Ensure that all programs and services required by project financing are provided as specified. Help to identify funding sources for project specific service programs and work with Director of Resident Service to apply for appropriate funding.

 

 

Qualifications:

Candidates must have (at least) one year experience within the Human Social Service field.  Bilingual skills (Spanish) are required. A Bachelor?s degree from a four-year college or university in social work of related field or equivalent related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience and knowledge in coordinating social service programs for residents. Demonstrated ability in program planning, creating and maintaining quality assurance, maintaining an effective interpersonal approach and maintaining a working team environment. Experience in working with diverse and multi-cultural populations of all ages. Candidate must also have good communication skills, good general office experience, and good computer skills. .
