Special Needs Juvenile Coordinator
Special Needs Juvenile Coordinator, Developmentally Disabled Offenders Program of The Arc of New Jersey
Coordinate existing community resources that will lead to the development of Personalized Justice Plans that will be used as alternatives to incarceration on behalf of juvenile defendants with and without intellectual disabilities in Union County.
Provide case management, consultive, education and training, and any alternatives to incarceration services for 35 juveniles a year.
Coordinate existing community resources and develop strong community support networks in Union county. .
Monitor and track services provided to juveniles through a comprehensive case management system. This includes maintenance and update of existing system, minimum three days per week of field visits including IEP meetings, court appearances, probation appointments, and family meetings.
Provide specialized education and training to criminal justice personnel in Union County.
Maintain demographic statistics and social and competency profiles on each juvenile.
Assist in vocational training through the completion of a community based vocational assessment and job development in Union County.
