Job Duties

The Senior Program Manager for The Jim Moran Foundation will oversee the grant process with responsibilities to include application review, financial data analysis, site visits, research and evaluation, and impact reporting.  Candidate will work with the Grants Analyst for a cohesive grants process and consult with Executive Director as necessary in preparing grant summaries and funding recommendations.  Candidate will ensure that grant files contain all required information and periodically updates files, as necessary.  Candidate will work to increase the effectiveness of the grant process, as well as mentor Grants Analyst.  Candidate will manage African-American Youth Achiever Annual Scholarship Award and undertake special studies/projects as assigned.

 

Job Qualifications

At least 5 years experience in grant management activities, to include reviewing and analyzing applications, producing evaluation plans and managing outcome reporting.

Local community involvement required.

Non-profit administration preferred.
 
Skilled in financial analysis .

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated success in project management.

Computer competencies in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

GIFTS database experience preferred.

Proficiency in conducting independent and Internet research.

Demonstrates responsibility and dependability in job performance.

Exercises sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information .

Motivated self-starter.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team.

Flexibility in work schedule.

Ability and willingness to travel, as necessary.
