Adminsitrative Director-Clinical Operations

  Receiving general direction from the Sr. Administrative Director of the Cardiology Division and the Chief of Cardiology, the administrative director will be responsible for the oversight of all clinical operations and the supervision of the administrative managers and other management staff supporting the division.  The administrative director will have direct supervision of the staff to include all human resource and operational topics.  As a member of the Division?s leadership team, the incumbent will provide cross coverage to the senior director to manage staffing and/or operational issues, provide analytical an project management support in a time sensitive manner.

 

 

Manages day-to-day operations of unit and ensures that each of following is achieved:

I. Assists Sr. Admin. Director with the establishment and implementation of division systems and procedures.

II. Serves as resource and mentor the division?s clinical management staff.

III.  Oversees the work of the administrative managers and practice managers to ensure the efficient operation of reception and registration functions, phone systems, patient flow, and appointment scheduling.

IV.  Works closely with external Hospital departments to ensure consistency and quality of practice/department access for clinicians, support staff and patients.

V.  Serves as point person for division environmental issues related to repairs, cleaning, directories, signage, security, etc. and delegates to administrative managers as necessary.  Establishes and enforces fire and safety regulations, following established protocols, and ensuring compliance with JCAHO, OSHA, HIPAA and Hospital Guidelines.

VI.  Serves as a resource for questions related to information systems. Arranges for hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, system access, etc.]

VII. Works with Sr. Admin. Director to coordinate all renovation projects, and manages projects to their completion.

VIII. Works with administrative managers to monitors monthly service statistics to evaluate division performance, and participates in developing strategies for improvement in utilization.

IX. Prepares and presents various high level statistical reports, cost analyses and budget justifications.

X. Works with administrative managers to ensure adequate staffing for all areas including cross-coverage, breaks and vacations, and to work on division-wide projects.

XI. Assists with the recruitment of all professional and physician staff.

XII.  Assumes responsibility for or participates in special projects as assigned.

Staffs multiple Heart Center program committees and works with respective physician leaders to build business proposals.

 

MBA with a health care concentration or Masters in Public Health (MPH), Masters in Healthcare Administration (MHA) required.  Minimum of 5-7years related experience in health care including hospitals, sub-cute facilities and/or the health insurance industry is preferred.
