Assistant Branch/Territory Manager

Backyard Storage Solutions, a national manufacturer and installer of wooden storage and recreational buildings, is seeking an Assistant Branch/Territory Manager for our Fontana, CA location.

The primary responsibility of the Assistant Branch/Territory Manager is to assist the Branch/Territory Manager in providing leadership and managing all processes of Branch/Territory operations to maximize sales and profits. This position requires initiative, the ability to exercise independent judgment, as well as experience with employee management and/or sub-contractor management.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
CUSTOMER SERVICE
? Identifies and responds promptly to Customer needs.
? Establish and maintain relationships with customers to increase sales growth.
TEAM
? Assists in recruiting, training and developing a strong core team of employees and sub-contractors to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
? Provides feedback to the Branch/Territory Manager.
? Promotes a safe work environment and ensures compliance with State and Federal requirements.
? Communicates clearly and effectively both verbally and in written formats and maintains company confidentiality practices and policies.
? Promotes sound management and interpersonal skills
OPERATIONS
? Assists with the preparation of sales invoices and credit memorandums.
? Assists with inventory related activities including ordering, receiving, storing, shipping, repairing products, and filing claims.
? Assists in timely completion of all auditing procedures/Inventory schedules.
? Assists in carrying out promotional merchandising plans within the territory and maintains presentation standards as directed by the company.
? Works in partnership with the Branch/Territory Manager to protect and maintain company assets and resources to include, but not limited to, inventory, product handling and physical facility.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; Bachelor?s degree (B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and strong problem solving abilities and above average interpersonal skills is required. Proficient knowledge of wood and building products including the ability to read blueprints and/or the knowledge and understanding of building codes is also preferred. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required in addition to a basic understanding of accounting functions such as Accounts Receivable/Payable, Inventory Control and Profit and Loss. Bilingual is a plus.
