JOB TITLE: Document Control Manager 

DEPARTMENT: Document Controls/Best Practices

REPORTS TO: Director of Administration   

 

 

 

POSITION SCOPE

The Document Control Manager identifies areas of opportunity within the company and manages the best practice gathering process.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Ownership of document control software and process and all standard operating procedure development Identifies best practices, defines them on paper, issues to markets to confirm accuracy, and publishes procedures for distributionManages a team of technical writersImplements ISO or other process controlsConsensus building on SOPs and best practicesAble to understand the concepts behind process improvement and measuring quality Provide updates and make recommendations to Senior Management on a regular basisOther duties as assigned

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

? Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field

? Minimum of 5 years of operations/document control related experience in retail, consumer products or warehouse environment

? Operational experience with facilities, warehousing, general office, technology and process background

? Proven management/supervisory skills

? Excellent facilitation skills, provide leadership in a business consulting role

? Excellent time management, multi-tasking and prioritization skills

? Able to assist team members with other projects as needed

? Experience with multiple location & multiple product businesses is a plus

? Able to effectively & efficiently communicate (written & verbal) with various levels of management and demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times.

? Able to be flexible in a rapidly changing work environment

? Able to work independently ? self starter

? Able to travel 30% of the time

? Proficient computer skills with knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and Visio
