Business Continuity Management Analyst

A position is available within the FI & FX/CCT BDI Operations Business Readiness team for an experienced BCM professional to help implement FED mandated requirements within the Global Cash Utility initiative. The GCU program is an effort that encompasses the wholesale activity of UBS and is being run as a joint effort between Wealth Management (WM) and Investment Bank (IB). This strategic initiative represents a business transformation that will improve global cash, liquidity management, risk, and capital adequacy as well as reduce operational cost. GCU will reside upon shared IT systems architecture and will be supported by an integrated global Operations function.

This project will encompass the following areas:

* Payments Processing - involves validating messages awaiting transmission and ensuring any required intervention is completed in a timely manner

* Cash Management - managing the Cash positions across the Bank's various Nostro account relationships

* Liquidity Management - responsible for ensuring that sufficient liquidity for USD payments exists both intra-day and overnight

Key Responsibilities:

To work within the Business Readiness team to ensure Operations staff understand their role and tasks in each type of BCM scenario and to work closely with IT to ensure BCM policies are adhered to. Will involve writing, execution, and managing test scripts, writing/maintaining procedures and process flows, maintaining Payments & Cash Management Operations DR (Disaster Recovery) contact lists. Training and verification of BCM procedures is also required.

Will also work closely with Operations Global Out of Region BCM Officer and the Americas Regional BCM team in the Regional COO's office.

The individual must be able to build relationships with clients and identify and tailor approaches and solutions according to their needs. Widespread cross-functional interaction with a strong emphasis on both oral and written communication & co-ordination skills requires the candidate to have the ability to impact/influence decisions & individuals without formal authority. Time management and prioritization skills are essential. The ability to work collaboratively toward shared goals as team player is crucial for success.

Requirements:

* Minimum of two to three years BCM experience and be a Certified Business Continuity Professional

* Solid expertise in one or more the following categories:
- Experience with a global Payments or Cash Management function in a financial services organization
- Experience with data migration, testing, documentation and training. Coordination of an overall project plan, issue management and project status communication with other streams, other regions, Familiar with MS project
- Knowledge of functional specifications for global Payments or Cash Management projects in a financial services organisation

* Must have strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct large group presentations as well as one-on-one sessions including documentation, preparations. Ability to articulate the knowledge to diverse audience and ranks.

* People skills: Self motivated who enjoys teamwork environment, drive, and commitment

* Economic skills: problem solving & decision making, leveraging resources and managing risk

* Independent worker but yet able to be a strong team player; proactive and self-driven

Basic Qualifications

* Four year degree or international equivalent required

* 2-3 yrs of BCM experience

* CBCP Certification

* Basic knowledge of Cash Management and of Payments Operations workflows.

* Knowledge of Project, Access Word, PowerPoint & Visio

Preferred Qualifications

* Self motivated with excellent organization skills

* Track record of successful project support and/or execution
