Business Manager ? School of Business and Technology

The Business Manager will provide leadership to the School of Business and Technology Business Team.  The business team is accountable for all aspects of the business including forecasting, business analysis, competitive analysis, marketing, product delivery and business plan development. 

 

Responsibilities:Development of annual strategic plans.Delivery of business drivers including quarterly revenue and operating marginDevelop and maintain product knowledge materials including ongoing training for sales and marketing.Lead cross-functional business team including sales, marketing, learner support, academic leadership and finance.Perform ongoing business analysis in support of the business team?s key strategies, including acquisition and persistence.Support development of market intelligence, including competitive and market research as required.Work closely with academic partners to effectively deliver high-quality programs.

 

Qualifications: Education: BS degree required, MBA/MS degree in business, marketing or finance is strongly preferred. Experience: A strategic and tactical business management professional with 5 years of broad-based business experience and a minimum of 2 years in consumer-focused product management.Strong general business acumen and skill in a variety of business competencies.Experience bringing a product or service to a market with understanding of target market definition, product design and positioning, pricing, promotional strategies, data collection and reporting requirements strongly preferred.Excellent analysis, business planning and general business management skills.Strong attention to detail and ability to translate big ideas into smaller tactics for implementation.Must have solid experience with forecasting models, pricing strategies, and competitive analysis.High levels of flexibility and versatility with the ability to influence and drive for results within a rapidly growing, matrixed organization.Must be comfortable with change and an environment of continuous improvement.Outstanding team leadership skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to convey information clearly and effectively through both formal and informal documents and presentations.Must be results and action-oriented.Exceptional project management skills.
