Business Unit Manager/Plant Manager
Client is Division of large, privately held, debt-free, cash-rich Corporation. The new President is tasked with both turnaround and business growth, and he is seeking a promotable individual to join his Business Unit Manager team. This is an opportunity for a manufacturing professional to positively effect a 50-employee (non-union), stand-alone plant and to eventually acquire additional responsibility for new business development.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, shop floor professional, and possess at minimum a bachelor's degree and 3 years Plant Manager or Director Manufacturing Operations experience within a machined products environment. Experience with 80/20 and lean enterprise principles desired. Client is based in a Chicago suburb, and at the onset of this search, has requested local candidates only.
