DISPATCH/CUSTOMER SERVICE

EPES Express Services, a growing leader in the Expedited industry, has an opening for an experience Dispatcher/Load Planner. Excellent communication and computer skills are required. This is a great opportunity to grow within the company.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Solicit freight from customers by phone on a daily basis identifying stated needs and developing programs to meet

 customer expectations.

 
 Dispatch, load, and empty all company units, owner-operators, and broker carriers in the AS400 system in real time

 status.


 Monitor automotive freight exchange website and 3PL load offerings to match freight with available equipment.

 

 Monitor driver activity on a daily and weekly basis to insure maximum utilization is obtained.

 

REQUIREMENTS:


3-5 years of Transportation experience, preferably in the Expedited area.
 

Strong working knowledge of the AS400.

 

Multi-task oriented, geographically inclined.

 

Excellent work history with proven track record.

 

Excellent data entry skills—accuracy is very important.

 

Excellent communication skills.

 

Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.

 

Professional, clean, neat appearance.

 

No convictions of serious crimes or felonies
