Description

The successful candidate will:

? Assist the client to develop and evaluate acquisition strategies, perform related analyses, and develop and review related documentation.

? Provide Department of Defense (DoD) systems acquisition expertise in support of the meteorology and oceanography systems program directorate in San Diego, California.

? Provide subject matter expertise support regarding the Joint Capabilities Integration & Development System (JCIDS) to this DoD client for acquisition management planning.

? Develop acquisition-related documentation leading to milestones B and C for the Littoral Battlespace Sensing, Fusion, and Integration (LBSF&I) program for the client.

? Serve as a reviewer of this program acquisition documentation for the program office providing recommendations for approval. 

? Review acquisition program information submitted as part of a program?s milestone decision package and other program reviews. 

? Perform milestone review planning and analysis. 

? Research and track all higher-echelon guidance and mandates defined in the DoD and Navy 5000 document series and JCS 3170 and 6212 document series and provide current updates and recommendations for implementation as appropriate.

 

 

Qualifications

 

? BA or BS degree in Business, Management, Engineering or a related field required.

? DAWIA or a related certification preferred.

? 3+ years of experience with DoD systems acquisition required.

? Knowledge of CJCS JCIDS process required.

? Knowledge of DoD 5000-series policy and documents preferred.

? Knowledge of FAR and DFARS helpful.

? Must be able to independently author relevant documents based on DoD policy and processes, delivering publish-ready drafts for review.

? Must be able to prepare and deliver formal presentations, both orally and written, of work performed.

? U.S. citizen with (or ability to obtain) U.S. government secret security clearance.
