Demand Planner

Currently seeking a Demand Planner.

 

Position: Demand Planner reporting to the Supply Chain Manager

 

Position Summary:

 

Utilize demand planning tools and work closely with Marketing and Sales, as well as external customers, to optimize supply chain performance through demand forecasting and demand management.

1.

Create and monitor the monthly Supply Chain forecast by utilizing computer generated statistical forecasts, sales projections, point-of-sale data, promotional calendars, and other knowledge collected from various AF Departments. Seek, analyze and integrate information from all areas of the organization relative to creating an accurate understanding of demand.

Lead the monthly demand consensus process including highlighting and responding to demand exceptions.

Implement the Sales and Operations planning process.

Monitor accuracy of previous forecasts and take action to improve performance.

Interface with Supply Planning on short/long-term capacity constraints, and assess impact to Supply & Sales.

Leverage the Demand Planning processes to develop Fiscal Year forecasts during the business planning cycle. Work with the Marketing, Sales, Product Supply, and Finance to fully understand proposed fiscal year plans and implications.

Qualifications:

 

Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.



BS/BA in Supply Chain with minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience. APICS CPIM certification. Experience using advanced forecasting techniques and analysis with SAP, Collaborate or similar software desired. Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and database oriented software. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail without losing site of big picture. Team player that works well with others, flexible, goal oriented. Ability to accept and manage change, open minded. Demonstrated cross functional team leadership. Take charge, initiator, sense of urgency.
