Department Leader - Recon Control

Are you comfortable in a leadership position? Do you possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills? If so, an exciting new role as a department leader within the Reconciliation Control Department at Edward Jones may be waiting for you. Responsibilities include maintaining day-to-day operations, management or processing, ensuring same-day processing, and providing customer service support to branch offices and home-office departments. This position assists in the balancing of firm and client accounts.

Responsibilities:
-Ensure team leaders have support and resources necessary to run the daily operations of department.
-Maintain day-to-day operations, management and processing, ensuring same-day processing and regulatory compliance.
-Identify and address future needs of the department and support long term needs of the Operations Division.
-Communicate vision and mission to everyone in the department Ensure the branch, customer and associate needs are addressed.
-Contribute to the development and retention of department associates with the appropriate skills for the department, division and firm.
-Proactively build relationships with internal departments to improve processes and reduce out-of-balance exceptions.
-Continuously improve, innovate and prepare the department and reconciliation for future needs of the division and to increase performance and reduce costs.
-Lead and/or support department and divisional projects.

Requirements:
-A Series 7 license must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
-Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance or commensurate experience is required.
-2-3 years proven leadership.
-Superior analytical, reconciliation and auditing skills from a hand on perspective.
-Experience with reconciliation tools, i.e. "CheckFree" is a plus.
-Reconciliation experience with Cash and Securities preferred.
