Director / Associate Director of Coal Scheduling

* Senior position with responsibility for start-up operations for US physical coal transactions

* Must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the physical coal business, including regulatory considerations, contract provisions, and tolls and tariff considerations for all US regions for various types of transportation.

* Thorough understanding of the commercial aspects of the coal business and the operational considerations that impact the market.

* Knowledge of front-to-back processes, including energy management systems, associated with physical coal transactions, and impact that scheduling has both upstream and downstream

* Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, develop, and successfully manage a small team of skilled professionals

* Strong computer skills; experience with system testing and implementation

* Superior written and verbal communication skills

* Strong organizational skills

* Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

* Ability to work with internal and external customers, internal control groups, and other operations teams on the start-up of physical coal trading business

* Must be willing to support the business 7x24 by handling off-hour scheduling issues and questions as necessary

Basic Qualifications

* B.S. required (Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering preferred)

* 5 years experience in coal scheduling

* Experience in management of team of skilled professionals desired
