Director of Equipment Operations ? PESC (Duncan, SC)

Sealed Air is looking for a driven, talented, passionate operations professional to lead our Packaging Equipment Systems Center (PESC) located in Duncan, SC.  PESC is a vertically integrated multi-shift equipment manufacturing operation that produces and supports packaging equipment solutions that serve a wide variety of food processing markets.  In this role the qualified candidate will guide the implementation of transformational change at PESC within the context of Sealed Air?s newly created global equipment organization.  The ideal candidate will enthusiastically lead a comprehensive implementation of Toyota Production System principles, dynamically engaging the entire organization in the process.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

? Career development for all operations personnel

? Equipment P&L responsibility for a 165+ employee multi-shift operation

? Development of objectives throughout the organization that are harmonized with the remainder of the global equipment business

? Management of all equipment fabrication and assembly operations

? Leadership of product engineering activities in support of equipment managed by PESC, including comprehensive corrective action implementation and value engineering initiatives

? Oversight of all supply chain optimization efforts

? Proactive ownership of all safety and quality initiatives

Skills and Experience

? Minimum of a Bachelors Degree in a relevant discipline; MBA preferred

? 5-7 years experience in an equipment operations leadership role

? Demonstrated passion for enriching the professional lives of employees on all levels

? Comprehensive grasp of the Toyota Production System philosophy and associated tools

? Lean Six Sigma ?Black Belt? preferred

? Extraordinary verbal and written communications skills are essential
