Director of Operations

National Industrial Concepts (NIC), a leading manufacturer of sheet metal and mechanical assemblies, is seeking an experienced operations leader in developing a lean and quality focused operation for our Woodinville, WA facility. Our growing company currently employs approximately 350 dynamic employees in two locations and has revenue approaching $60 million. 

 

The Director of Operations will set and help implement initiatives that will drive quality levels to 50ppm or better while reducing operating costs, improving on time delivery, and overall cash flow.  A strong Materials background is required, including knowledge of ERP/MPR as well as Lean manufacturing procurement methods and APICS standards.  This position will directly report to the Vice President of Operations.

 

Qualifications:

?  Requires a minimum of 5 years experience in a production management position.

?  BA/BS and Lean required.

?  Competency with MS office software required.

?  Analytical and data mining skills required. 

?  Ability to present proposals to Senior Management required.

?  Strong leadership and mentoring skills. 

?  A Decision maker that can effectively work in a team and motivate staff to take ownership and develop a continuous improvement culture.

?  Proven accomplishments in increasing inventory turns, improving shop floor efficiencies, and driving down material costs. 

?  6 Sigma, and APICS training strongly desired. 

?  Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
