JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Director of Production is responsible for directing and managing the daily Production Process for the production of high quality advertising publications for Military Installations, Chambers and other organizations.  Manage departmental budget and formulate key strategies. Oversee and provide direction and guidance to managers and staff. Expand, train and oversee operations policies and procedures.  Identify and manage challenging issues with customers and clients.  Provide internal oversight and leadership to enable President to carry out company mission and vision, aligning company efforts with Presidential vision.

 

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

1. Lead a high performing team delivering projects for the Ad Sales department.



2. Manage, mentor, guide and promote individual and team strengths.



3. Make strategic decisions regarding the focus and areas of strength of the Production Department.



4. Implement solid project processes and facilitate work flow for the team.

 

5.  Work with executive team to manage the and facilitate a collaborative team environment.

 

6. Set the direction and tone for the Company?s long term goals.

SKILLS:

 

Exceptional customer service orientation with strong people management experience. Must be a self-starter with strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills. Ability to handle a fast paced environment. Solid budgeting skills. Print Production experience preferred. Thorough understanding of process flow and design a must.  Knowledge of digital-print processes, magazine production, catalog production, paper, bindery and auxiliary finishing processes a plus.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

BA in Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred

Minimum 5 years Management Experience required
