Distribution Manager

Style Crest Products, a privately held company has an opportunity available for an experienced distribution manager who will oversee the warehousing, delivery, transportation and inventory of products in our Lakeland, FL location.? Primary responsibilities include:

?Responsible for the overall management with regard to efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, housekeeping and safety either directly or through subordinates.? Responsible for P&L success of the warehouses by monitoring budget requirements and communicating any discrepancies or major impacts on budget.? Develops metrics for the operation and recommend necessary improvements based on analysis of these metrics.? Communicate weekly with EVP of Operations with an overview of the distribution operations including major issues, strategic recommendations, performance efficiencies, capital expenditures, etc.? Reviews operational reports and makes strategic recommendations to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, and/or customer service through analyzing delivery schedule changes, route adjustments for shipments including UPS, common carrier, third party shipments, etc.? Oversees the inventory control of all products and materials and assists with cycle counts and physical inventory.? Ensures all discrepancies are resolved and communicated to the appropriate departments.? Responsible in conjunction with Purchasing in achieving the company?s targets for inventory turns.Ensures DOT compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and paperwork.Provides leadership with regards to operation efficiencies, setting expectations, conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, and hiring a qualified workforce.Maintain a security program that ensures the company?s products and materials are secure at all times.? Ensure immediate investigations are conducted when burglaries, theft, vandalism, or missing inventory occurs in a facility.Provides mentoring and coaching to direct reports to ensure future growth.

Qualified candidates must have at least 2 years of prior management experience in a combination of warehousing, transportation, freight, logistics, and distribution.? Bachelor?s degree in supply chain, operations, business or a related field preferred.? Must possess proven management and leadership skills, be analytical, and a strategic thinker.? Prior experience overseeing and managing inventory control.? Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and team building skills.? Must be knowledgeable of DOT regulations.
