Distribution Supervisor - 2nd Shift - Orlando FL

As our 2nd Shift Distribution Supervisor, you'll work with us to excel in your ability to provide the most effective delivery service for OfficeMax's customers. In this position, you will:

 
Supervise the receipt, storage, order filling, or loading of inventory.
Short-term planning related to staffing requirements and resource allocations.
Administer safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
Communicate and administer policies and procedures.
Assist management in problem solving and coordinating projects.
Recruit, train and develop department associates. 
Conduct associate’s performance review, ongoing performance discussions, and salary review recommendations.
Monitor and record productivity and accuracy for assigned department.
Provide leadership and motivation to associates.
Communicate effectively with associates and create an open communication style that fosters a collaborative work environment. 
Directly supervises all levels of Distribution Specialists. 
Demonstrate a commitment to OfficeMax core values of safety, integrity, process improvement, and customer satisfaction.

College degree a plus.
Managerial background with five+ years of experience as well as a background in transportation. 
Previous experience in customer service, complex systems and distribution preferred. 
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
Excellent customer service and organizational skills. 
Ability to influence and manage service providers.
Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and oral/written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to lead others by example and with motivation.
