Emergency Preparedness Specialist

The Emergency Preparedness Planner is primarily responsible for developing, planning, and conducting disaster preparedness exercises.  They are responsible for assuring the development of associated plans and procedures and maintaining  their controlled distribution.  He/she will ensure audits of plans and procedures are conducted, findings are issued, corrective actions are developed, and lessons learned are published.  Will develop scenarios for all possible emergency contingency situations and coordinate Emergency Response training exercises.  Must keep current with all changes in HAZMAT and Hot Line procedures to ensure full compliance with Federal law and Army Regulations.  Also, must maintain all hazardous material, Hot Line HAZMAT and emergency exercise reports.
