FINANCIAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Position Summary

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for researching, analyzing and quantifying business trends and market conditions that impact the long-term growth of the company.  Essential Responsibilities

? Business Planning - Coordinates the activities to prepare the annual and three-year business plan.  Analyzes and critiques business plans submitted by subsidiary companies. Analyzes and develops capital allocation strategies.  Develops metrics and milestones for measuring progress towards achieving business goals.  Provides in-depth variance analysis of actual versus plan performance.

? Financial Modeling and Analysis - Develops a computer-based financial model to be used for forecasting long-term financial performance.  Identifies key economic indicators and their long-term effect on the company through ?what if? scenarios.  Works with COO and Regional Operating Officers (ROOs) to determine what impact changes in business strategies will have on long-term financial performance.

? Industry Research and Benchmarking - Researches, collects and analyzes industry data for use in comparing to the future performance of the company.  Will need to understand and communicate how industry trends will impact current/future strategies.

? At-Risk Monitoring - Responsible for the design, monitoring and reporting of ?at-risk? companies.  Supports the ROOs in developing and implementing action plans to return companies to normal operating performance levels. 

? Special Projects - Assists in the analysis of various special projects.Qualifications

? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance

? Five to seven years of business experience, consulting experience a plus

? Construction Industry and/or Percentage Completion Revenue Recognition experience

? Excellent Microsoft Office, especially Excel skills, knowledge of macro (Visual Basic) programming a plus

? Must be forward thinking and creative

? Must be able to communicate with all levels of management
