FSC Manager

This position manages facility operations and personnel to maximize efficiencies, operate within applicable government regulations and Cargill policy, and assists in identifying and developing customer solutions and service.


 


Key accountability areas are: safety, expense management, stocks accounting, shortage and overrun program, grain storage, personnel leadership and training and plant readiness.


 


This position manages both facilities at Bremen and Lapaz. These are facilities which are located about 8 miles apart. Each facility has an experienced leadperson and crew. The facilities have storage capacities of approx 600,000 bushels each and have annual volumes of 5-6 million bushels.


They have combination concrete and corrugated steel storage.


These facilities are truck unloaders and rail loaders. Loadout capacities are 20 and 30 thousand BPH.


The facilities are well maintained.  There is an active Maintenance Reliability Program in place that is growing. This position will need to continue that  charge.


Normal operating hours are daytime except during harvest when hours are extended.


The facilities have excellent safety records. The loss control program is current.


This is an ideal opportunity for a person to succeed in location management.




Principal Accountabilities:
 
40%  Coaching, development, and management support to the operations employees within the facility such that the goals of the organization are achieved.
 
30%  Management of all aspects of regulatory and Cargill compliance programs at the facility, including environmental, safety, quality, maintenance, and housekeeping.
 
30%  Working closely with the Farm Service Group grain origination manager, operations leader, and administration team to ensure facility expenses and efficiencies are achieved.
