Foundry Supervisor

OVERVIEW:

The primary purpose of this position is drive and support the Carrollton Casting Center and ArvinMeritor, Inc. goals and initiatives through the effective management of the Molding Line, Core and Cleaning Room operations.

This role directly drives and supports the safety, quality, and productivity goals established for the Carrollton Casting Center.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

?Supervise the Molding Line, Core and Cleaning Room operations.
?Insure on time delivery and quality of daily production orders.
?Maintain scrap and production goals.
?Insure housekeeping initiatives are maintained within these operations and assigned areas.
?Communicate with Maintenance to resolve equipment and repair issues.
?Work closely with Quality to communicate and resolve process/quality issues.
?Complete all daily shift reports and documentation according to TS16949 documented process.
?Maintain internal inventory levels goals.
?Recognize and implement cost savings.
?Train and build employee knowledge/skill levels.
?Obtainment of Safety Goals and objectives
?Safety Committee member, Job Safety Analysis review/updating, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

?BS Degree in Engineering/Metallurgy/Materials Science
?Minimum five years Supervisory experience in Molding Line, Core and Cleaning Room operations.
