General Manager at Large

Manages continuous improvement initiatives for the region.  Gains experience in sales and operations in order to be ultimately placed as a general manager, managing a location, hub or multiple store locations.  May temporarily fill vacant general manager position(s).



Promotes continuous improvement initiatives in the region by managing special projects that enhance overall customer service, process flow and customer retention. 


Special projects may include, but are not limited to, Flow for Improved Customer Service (FICS), Service Progression in Order of Need (SPIN), Correct Billing, implementing the Qualcomm communication system, etc. 


Supports regional sales efforts by participating with other management team members to advance sales strategies. 


May assist in the planning, due diligence and on boarding of warm start acquisitions. 


Gains experience in regional sales and operations business practices by working closely with local management. 


Engages in company sponsored training. 


May temporarily fill vacant general manager position(s) as requested. 


When temporarily filling a vacant general manager position, seeks opportunities to increase overall profitability by controlling costs and improving efficiencies. 


Fosters team building by participating in regional and/or district level meetings. E


ncourages equipment sharing and proper equipment maintenance;


May support direct sales efforts for assigned area by managing inside and outside sales staff. 


Coordinates with District Manager to ensure sales goals are met; ensures regulatory compliance by becoming familiar with and monitoring location safety audits, OSHA and DOT record keeping and employee safety training;


Oversees daily people management by providing direction to staff and by handling staffing, performance development or related issues.


 



Requirements: 



One year store management or sales experience. 


Must be able to build effective teams, manage, develop and motivate others and drive for results. 


Must be dedicated to meeting or exceeding customer expectations.


 Education Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, marketing or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.


 


Physical Requirements:  Wear steel toed shoes and other required personal protective equipment.


 


Additional Requirements:  Travel up to 75% of time depending on assignment.
