Group Leader- Auto Repurchase & Remarketing

Industry leading, outsourced service provider to automakers has an opening for a Group Leader for its Vehicle Reacquisition & Remarketing Team.  We seek candidates with previous management/supervisory experience in a support center/claims processing environment.  Automotive financial experience a plus.  The successful Group Leader will be hands on, self-motivated, accountable, highly organized, process oriented, have strong customer service, financial, and negotiating skills, seeks new challenges and has a strong desire to grow professionally.



 

Reporting to the Vice President, the Group Leader ensures that the highest quality of customer service is provided to our client, consumers and dealerships as it relates to the repurchase, repair, and re-sale of vehicles.

 

Summary of Responsibilities:Provide direction and assistance to team membersHandle escalated cases/callsWork coordinator?s desk, as required Explain process on unique situationsReport performance and process results and/or concerns.Recommend process improvements to achieve goals

 

Essential Duties: Train team members to increase individual and team performance and client satisfaction.Audit financial worksheets to ensure compliance with Laws and client requests.Provide guidance and support to team members.Monitor quality and quantity of work.Handle escalated calls from customers, dealerships, or other parties.Open new cases and alter ownership to reflect that of the automaker.Maintain a balanced work load among team members.Request funds from automaker based on approved financial worksheets.Continually determine process improvements.

 

Examples of Work Assignments:Execute repurchase and replacement transactions/negotiations on behalf of automaker for lemon law and potential lemon law vehicles. Transport buyback vehicles to repairing dealerships with the details of the needed repairs.Prepare disclosure documentation allowing the vehicle to be resold, parted-out, donated, or sent to engineering.

 

Required Skills:Recent experience as team leader, supervisor, or manager for a group of 10 or more employees preferably for a call center or customer service provider (5+ years).Highly organized, excellent project management skills, and able to work with minimal supervision (5+ years)Previous customer service, call center experience requiring out bound calling and the handling of escalated calls (3-5 years).Strong desktop computer skills (Lotus Notes, Excel, Word) and use of database applications (3-5 years).Ability to solve day-to-day problems and address normal business issues (3-5 years).Practice/Knowledge of negotiation skills concerning financial transactions (3-5 yrs.)Ability to maintain a professional customer service relationship with clients, customers and team members (3-5 years). Proven achievement from suggesting enhancements to systems and workflows (3-5 yrs.).
