POSITION PURPOSE: The Lean Leader advocates the lean approach throughout the organization and serves as a consultant for PIMS, quality, and continuous process improvement across the enterprise.  This is a highly visible position that will work with all levels of employees across the company.  The key objective is to drive change that will positively affect the bottom line of the Delavan operations while delivering optimum performance to our customers.  This position oversees the quality organizations across the Delavan group.  The quality leadership role involves the standardization of quality processes across Delavan, oversight of our quality charter, and the point of contact for any cross-divisional quality issues and initiatives.  The Director, Process Improvement will design and implement Lean manufacturing & quality system projects and develop key systematic measurements.

Demonstrates clear understanding of all tasks and processes within functional responsibility. Has a high level of technical competence in employee management, manufacturing operations, continuous improvement techniques, quality systems, problem solving, and manufacturing technologies. 

Understands replenishment systems and Lean Manufacturing (JIT) strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education: B.S in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering. Advanced Degree preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience in implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment.  Minimum five years in quality Management or Engineering Minimum 5 years experience working with the Toyota Production System (TPS) principles 8-10 years Managerial experience.
