Manager Field Warehousing

Position is responsible for coordinating warehouse activities with warehouse company managers and staff to ensure performance is compliant with SYSCO specifications and requirements.

This position is located in Chicago, IL.

Position scope includes, but is not limited to:
Conducting routine facility audits to ensure rotation, inventory
integrity and processes are in compliance with standard
operating procedures.

Resolving or referring, as appropriate, multi party conflict when
service failures arise.

Reviewing and assisting warehouse in administrative and operational issues to ensure Sysco requirements.

Serving as liaison between corporate staff, logistics managers, carriers and suppliers in the fulfillment of warehouse operating objectives.

Assuring compliance with warehouse staff on SYSCO requirements and procedures related to HAZMAT, recall, tracking, sanitation, inventory claims, etc.

Assisting warehouse management in consultative manner regarding warehouse operations.

40% travel is required.

Bachelor's degree in operations, logistics, supply chain or business administration from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Customer service or relationship management experience helpful. Project management, presentation, supervisory, consultative and accounting skills also helpful.

Ability to use personal computer with spreadsheet and word processing software. Knowledge of SYSCO mainframe system helpful. Ability to understand interpret multiple systems and business processes.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
