POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Interactive Programs will be responsible for building a leading-edge consumer web marketing capability for First Marblehead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Manager of Interactive Programs will build an internal web marketing capability for First Marblehead with the objective of capturing borrowers for our growing volume for FMD-managed client programs.

Specific responsibilities will include:
-Establishing First Marblehead as a leading-edge web marketer for the student audience
-Overseeing an Interactive Marketing team within the Marketing group
-Building and developing a team of web marketing professionals to plan and execute client-branded initiatives such as:
-Partnership and Affiliate Programs
-Paid Search Campaigns
-Brand-specific site builds and ongoing optimization
-Organic Search Campaigns
-Display Advertising Campaigns
-Email lead generation and customer communication programs
-Client cross sell email programs

-Managing external agency relationships and providing oversight for online media purchase and optimization.
-Defining best practices for acquiring and retaining student borrowers via web marketing initiatives and packaging and delivering this expertise to our DTC client base on an ongoing basis
-Acting as the lender-facing web expert to deliver advisory services related to online strategies
-Providing program recommendations on where to invest the Marketing Budget online to generate the greatest ROI
-Managing the individual project budgets for web-based campaign initiatives
-Partnering with Business Development to develop recommendations for investing FMD budget in volume-generating initiatives for new client prospects
-Managing First Marblehead's relationships, contracts and budgets with external web marketing agencies
-Meeting loan volume goals associated with specific campaign investments and partnering with our Marketing Intelligence Group to analyze and track campaign success
-Ensuring that the Operating Committee, Finance and other key stakeholders receive campaign investment and volume delivery reporting and key metrics on a regular basis

8+ years experience in direct marketing, with specific focus in the Interactive space. Preferably with some agency-side experience.
-Thorough knowledge of paid and organic search marketing
-Competency in maximizing results for display advertising
-Solid grasp of best practices in landing page and site design for the purposes of acquiring new customers
-Understanding of email list strategy, campaign execution and measurement
-Understanding of program tracking and measurement
-Knowledge of online marketing best practices, lead acquisition technology and tools and models for structuring and measuring online partnerships
-Strong analytical skills, with the ability to "find and articulate the story" in direct marketing test results
-Good communications skills, written and verbal, including presentation skills
-Strong team management and relationship-building skills
-Degree from a four year college or university
