Manager Operations Analyst

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

Direct day-to-day activities for the BMA Operations Analysis group whose primary objective is to provide the review, analysis and reporting of the domestic profit and loss statement.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES  LIST IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE

 

 

?  Review and Analysis of the division profit and loss statement in the following areas:

 

 

-  Monthly Operating Results

-  Monthly/Quarterly Forecasts

-  Annual Budget Process and Operating Plan

-  Monthly Comprehensive Internal Reporting

 

 

?  Interface with the Regional Controllers in area of the monthly closing process, monthly field analysis requirements, adherence to division accounting policies, and annual plan preparation.

 

 

?  Interface on a day-to-day basis with Division Managers regarding issues affecting the responsibilities of the Operations Analysis group, particularly with the following:

 

-  Manager, General Accounting

-  Manager, System & Programming

-  Manager Accounts Receivable

-  Manager Cost Reporting

 

?  Provide training and assistance to group staff members as a part of continued career advancement within the organization.

 

?  Prepare and review annual audit schedules as requested by internal and external audit groups.

 

?  Provide primary financial support and analysis to other home office operating departments.

 

 EDUCATION

 

B.S. in Accounting or Finance ? MBA and /or CPA preferred

 

 EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS

 

 5-7 years cumulative experience, including:

 

-  2-3 years management experience in a manufacturing/service industry

-  Financial Analysis experience a plus
