Manufacturing Manager
DIAB Inc., located in DeSoto, Texas (20 minutes South of Dallas), has an immediate need for a Manufacturing Manager. DIAB manufactures structural core materials to be used in lightweight yet high-strength structures in the marine, aerospace, transportation, and wind energy markets. DIAB Inc. is the world leader in core materials for specialized sandwich composite structures. We promote composite sandwich technology that adds value to our customers? products. By working closely with our customers, we provide innovative solutions to specialized structural problems. DIAB?s engineered materials go into a wide array of products, in many diverse industries, providing our employees with new and interesting challenges every day.
We are seeking a dynamic leader to take charge of this critical segment of our company and to implement the developments necessary for future growth. The position is responsible for management of several production departments (both batch and process)
Good communication skills and the ability to manage a large number of employees are a must. At least 10 years of manufacturing management are required. Experience implementing ?lean manufacturing? and modern management principles is expected. ISO fluent, 24/7 environment experience, and engineering/technical background are all requirements.
The Manager will be responsible for developing his team, continuous improvement of the operation, cooperating with DIAB?s foreign facilities and overseeing all manufacturing issues. Experience implementing ?lean manufacturing? principles is a must. Excellent interpersonal skills must be utilized for team building, staff development, and mentoring of key employees. Spanish as a second language is a plus. International business experience is a plus.
Some international travel will be required. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Operations. Salary and bonus will depend on experience and the immediate impact you may have on DIAB?s operation. We prefer the candidate to be living in the DFW area, but will consider relocating strong candidates. DIAB is an equal opportunity employer and offers good benefits.
