Manufacturing Operations Manager

As a member of the 3M Automotive Division, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will manage Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations for Automotive Division Global Design Business Team including the development of strategic and operating plans. This person will ensure business objectives and strategic goals are met through the development, adoption and implementation of manufacturing strategies and plans.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

 

1. Manufacturing Operations Strategic Planning.

2. Human Resources Management.

3. Support/Lead Customer Service.

4. Support/Lead New Product and Technology Development.

5. Financial Management.

6. Manufacturing Effectiveness Assessment.

7. Stays abreast of current best practices (Six Sigma and Lean) to drive Operational Excellence throughout the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Organization.

8. Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance.

9. Managing key performance deliverables in the area of Quality, Service and Cost. 



Education:

 

A Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field is required. 

 

Experience: 

 

10 years of Manufacturing related job experience desired.

 

Demonstrated Leadership in the following areas:

 

- Competence in manufacturing and supply chain principles and application.

- Leadership skills and business acumen including financial understanding of the business.

- Competence to work independently to accomplish objectives with high levels of motivation and ownership for assignments.

- Analytical, problem solving, and planning capabilities to resolve unstructured opportunities and problems.

- Ability to work in a team setting with strong interpersonal and communication skills with direct reports and across functions. 



 

Ideal candidate will have held previous Plant Management position in same or related industry.
