In support of the worldwide marine movement of energy, chemical and LPG raw materials, INVISTA is currently seeking a Marine Operations Supervisor. This position will be responsible for the management of the global marine carrier selection program for international chemical parcel tankers, LPG vessels, US and EU barging, as well as marine equipment scheduling and marine services technical support.
 

Responsibilities:Implement and manage a globally accessible marine carrier selection program.
Provide the capabilities to execute the efficient scheduling of bulk marine equipment including inland barging and tankers. Act as the key interface with the product schedulers to ensure continual flow of the raw material and energy marine supply chain. Maintain the primary operational contact with tankers, agents and owners. Provide marine technical knowledge on an as required basis to the businesses in regard to ship operations, marine terminals and the ship to shore interface. Develop product knowledge as it pertains to the marine environment. Be prepared to communicate that knowledge in conjunction with sales and marketing personnel to customers around the world.
  Your skills and background should include:

Maritime academy graduate - licensed mariner. Strong preference for sailing experience as a chief officer, engineer or master, preferably on tankers. Cargo handling experience Attention to detail Demonstrated customer relation skills Strong compliance culture background Cargo loss management experience, a plus
