Marketing Assistant - Channels

MA ? Channels
This position is responsible for supporting and leveraging the brand strategies that will lead to the development and execution of the annual Channels marketing plan initiatives for the Quaker Foods Portfolio which consists of Quaker Oatmeal, Quaker Ready to Eat Cereals, Rice-A-Roni and Aunt Jemima. ?The Channels revenue within Quaker Foods reached $630MM in 2005, +11% and accounted for approximately one-third of the total BU sales.

This candidate will have accountability for leading the marketing initiatives for Target as well as key retailers within the Dollar, Drug and C-store channels. This position will report into a Marketing Manager.

Success in this position is defined by demonstrating a thorough knowledge of our key retailers, our consumers and key drivers that will deliver/exceed our volume and profit objectives.
? Lead the overall marketing efforts for Emerging Channels (E&C) which consists of Target, Dollar, Drug and C-store ?working in collaboration with cross-functional team members
? Lead the annual marketing plans for these channels with the objective of driving volume, profit and share
? Assist in developing the long term strategic plan for E&C
? Lead weekly customization meetings
? Commercialize and lead channel specific products and packs
? Develop CSM programs designed to build brand equity, drive incremental purchases and align with the retailer?s key business objectives
? Monitor and track key business indicators on a monthly basis

Candidate must have at least 2 years marketing/sales experience ideally within CPG industry. Selling into channel accounts (club, mass, drug, dollar, c-store) is a plus.
