Material Handler

As a Material Handler for IM Flash Technologies, you will be responsible for accurately processing on-line transactions; receiving, delivering, and moving materials from point to point within the facility; and performing cycle counts, material labeling, stocking, and repackaging. In this position, you will interact with customers and electronically track materials. You will also release and order materials from outside sources and answer customer questions regarding inventory and material systems.

 

Other responsibilities include taking orders and translating those orders into electronic requests; operating material handling equipment; participating in quality improvement activities; and utilizing on-line training materials including procedure manuals, checklists, and scripts.

 

 



Qualified candidates will have a basic understanding of receiving, warehousing, service counter, shipping, and delivery methods and prior experience using a software package to manage inventories. You should have prior knowledge of hazardous material handling, safety, and ESD awareness. You should also be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable with strict deadlines and time constraints with a high level of proficiency, accuracy, and speed. 

 

Other desirable competencies include basic math skills, reading comprehension, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong computer and keyboarding abilities.  This position requires that you possess excellent customer service and follow-up skills.  It is also essential that you be able to cover multiple departments up to 1 mile apart several times per day (5-8 miles/day) and be able to move materials weighing up to 40 pounds from a cart to a shelf 5 feet in height.


Required Education:
High school diploma, GED, or advanced education in Business, Management, Finance, Communication, or a related field.
